California rapper Bones is back with another foreboding track. He and producer Eric Dingus scale it back for this “Tempo”, opting for a less in your face sound. It’s as dark as ever, but the song is slower than some of Bones’ other tracks and the vocals are almost choral and hymn-like chants.
The beat still features some heavy-hitting bass and trap snares, as well as a minor piano line, but it’s a pretty sparse soundscape for Bones to spit over.
This track also tagged #SESH, just like “RestInPeace” from earlier this year. Seems like Bones is cooking something up.
Quotable Lyrics
I used to sleep on a pool table
now i got tables thats out by the pool
back then thought life was a cruel fable
now i realized i just didn't read through
