World’s Fair have a series going they call “World’s Fair Wednesdays,” during which someone from the Queens, New York, collective drop a new song or two every Wednesday. This week its Prince SAMO’s turn to shine, and he comes through with the jazzy “Let It Ring.”
SAMO opts for a different kind of beat for the track, as the production features no traditional snares. Instead, he shows of his lyrical skills by rapping along with a bass line as the rhythm. Trumpet work and subtle drum work fills the background, but it’s mostly a sparse beat that goes against popular music trends.
Are y’all feeling Prince SAMO’s solo work?
