Under Pressure

Bodega Bamz is one of New York's more underrated rappers. He has kept his dark, creeping style of technical street rap coming over the last few years, and has rarely faltered in doing it very well. Still, he's yet to have a huge breakthrough moment, but perhaps that's in the cards for 2016.

Bamz has come through with a new record today, describing it as "what music's supposed to sound like," while that kind of rhetoric is often tied to New York traditionalism, we know that Bamz is willing to get adventurous and collaborate with the innovators of today -- so he won't be boxed into that frame of mind. Instead, he'll continue to make the music that suits him best, and eventually people will catch on.
