You may have heard Shawn Wigs’ name before on Ghostface Killah’s 36 Seasons track “Homicide,” and now he’s back with his own track. He enlists The Lox’ Jadakiss for a verse, including the requisite Jadakiss laughing ad libs.
The song has a classic sound, with a beat that layers different guitar loops together with some simple 808s. Shawn Wigs almost sounds like a younger Tony Starks not he track (but not in a confusing way), and they are both from the Shaolin so you can see why the Wu Tang emcee teamed up with the Staten Island emcee.
Apparently if you look closely, you can catch a glimpse of Shawn Wigs in Ghostface Killah’s “Wu Goo” video from yesterday.
Quotable Lyrics
My flow’s Ill
That’s why I flip my skill to a couple mill
pockets stuffed with bills, love how the ice chills
black diamonds in the ruby link
you can smell the tour bus
Ain’t nothing but that stink
