Stones Throw records unleashed a classic track from Detroit emcee Guilty Simpson. The rapper released his first solo album in five years in 2015, and it sounds like the rapper isn’t slowing down soon.
On “Testify,” Simpson delivers his matter-of-fact flows over a sample-heavy beat, rapping about his upbringing and his plans for the future in the form of “life lessons.” The rapper concludes with a decision to grind hard to make money so he can give back to his community.
