About a month back, we introduced to you to New Jersey's Angelo Mota with his politically charged "It Ain't Safe Outside,"a collab with Chicago experimentalist Kweku Collins. Today he's returned with another new track, once again making a good choice of feature as he recruits Well$ for "Over Here". Mota is again self-producing, but his sound is a little more aggressive this time around, but the hard sub-bass fits him well.
"'Over Here' was birthed from a song I recorded in the early summer. I held onto it for a while and it all came to fruition when I was introduced to Well$ by my manager," Mota said of the record via email. "The purpose of the song is to be a pretty fun record that people can use to take their mind off current situations and just go crazy to."
Quotable lyrics:
I've been grinding for two years
Like, who invited you here?
Mister make sure that you take care of my crew there
Oh yeah, treat every last one of them like me
But ain't no one like me, or should I say like us
