G-Unit's Kidd Kidd is back with a new track to start off his year, and with "Lately" comes an announcement that the New Orleans rapper has a new mixtape, The Legacy 2, on the way. The new song finds Kidd hooking up with N.O. producer Fire on da Track, and it's something of a return to his 9th ward roots -- and something for the haters to chew on.
"Lately" begins with a few soundbites regarding some of Kidd's controversies, like getting bailed out of jail this past summer by 50 Cent shortly after grabbing the XXL Freshmen 10 spot, and he goes on to rap about how his name in the streets hasn't changed since appearing on Tha Carter III in 2008.
