Last night, Mac Miller took shape as his alter ego, Larry Fisherman, for the release of a new instrumental project, Run On Sentences Vol. 2, following up the 2013 release of the same name. If you've been following the rapper on Instagram, you've likely seen he's on vacation at the moment and he really is being a fisherman.
Run On Sentences Vol. 2 is available as a 27-minute song stream on SoundCloud, however the record that closes it out has been uploaded individually. "Smile" is the only song within the stream that features vocals from the rapper. The Pittsburgh native croons over the melancholy, experimental beat he created, filled with chirping birds and other hints of the outdoors.
Quotable Lyrics
The devil always smile when you need a friend
I'm laying on this cloud
It's a long drop back to earth
Wonder when my happy days will fade away
Don't rain on my parade
