Billy Joel's "Vienna" might not seem like its screaming to be covered by Mac Miller, but the rapper has managed to make his version of the song make sense in his world. As as a result, it's not immediately recognizable, with Mac choosing to drop his voice in pitch, while the piano chords are distant and heavily distorted.
The result is a strangely comforting song for the holidays, still maintaining a hint of brightness despite its strange presentation. Following the relatively straight forward GOOD AM, it could mean Mac is ready to get into a more experimental zone. Another Larry Fisherman project perhaps?
Quotable Lyrics:
Slow down you crazy child
You're so ambitious for a juvenile
But then if you're so smart tell me,
Why are you still so afraid?
