Lauryn Hill joins the many artists dropping new music for the holiday season, but unlike many of her peers, she's decided to take on a traditional Christmas song, giving us a version of Nat King Cole's 1960 classic "A Cradle In Bethlehem".
We're still waiting on new original material from Lauryn, and hopefully this is a sign that the celebrated songwriter has something in the works for 2016. In the meantime, we'll gladly add this one to our Xmas playlist. Lauryn will be performing two concerts in the next week, heading to Washington, D.C. on Jan. 1st and Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Bowl on January 4th. Think we'll hear some new stuff?
Quotable Lyrics:
While wise men follow through the dark
A star that beckons them
A mother tonight is rocking
A cradle in Bethlehem
