Every few months, or when you least expect it, TDE's President Punch comes through with a few raps of his own. While Top Dawg Entertainment harvests some of our favorite rappers in the game at the moment, Punch himself isn't too shabby either-- he could easily flow with the rest of TDE.
The latest release from Punch, "Kings," is backed by an instrumental that sounds as though it was recorded live at a jazz club. Layered piano riffs and remnants of statics give it an old school feeling. According to Punch, this is "just a quick story based on the years from 1986 through 1998ish."
