A couple of months ago, Rockie Fresh was nowhere to be seen, but now, after a series of rock-solid cuts off his upcoming album, The Night I Went To..., he's regained his reputation as one of MMG's most talented artists. A week after sharing "Too Long," Fresh returns today with two new songs -- the Hit-Boy-produced "All I Want" and "Aurora," produced by Chicago's Mike Daley. The latter provides another nuanced look at an intense romantic relationship, which seems to be the theme of The Night I Went To...
Whether the mood has been painful or triumphant, Fresh has been showing off his ability to translate complex feelings into smooth lyrics. "Aurora" is somewhere in between -- Fresh knows that the end-all might be heartbreak, and thus, he throws himself into the moment. "Hope we make it to the morning sun," he softly sings to close the song.
The Night I Went To... still doesn't have a release date, but the abundance of new tracks should signal that it's coming soon.
