It's been a big year for Chicago artist Kweku Collins. He graduated from high school, signed a record deal, and dropped a well-received summer EP Say It Here, While It's Safe. The young man is still grinding -- this week he dropped a new song called "Delilah."
Produced by Stefan Ponce and Julian Bell, "Delilah" is a continuation of another of Collins' tracks called "Lonely Lullabies." It's all about letting go of a loved one while continuing to hold it down for them.
Collins described how the track came together to The Fader: "Me and Ponce are in the studio and he started playing things he was working on. As soon as I heard the first few bars, I knew it was the one. Julian's guitar is beautiful and Stefan's drums compliment it perfectly."
Quotable Lyrics
Make art, make lies
make haste, make wars
Make sure you still walk
like you know how you are
