On Wednesday night, August Alsina’s sophomore album, This Thing Called Life, was released on his Youtube Channel a day earlier than expected. However, August wasn’t too happy about it, and took to twitter to voice his frustration with his label, Def Jam, for allowing the early stream to go down. He tweeted out, “I didn't do this. My shitty ass label did it. They're just fucking Shitty! Smh”
Nonetheless, the album is still up on his page, and you can stream it right here on HNHH in its entirety. Led by the previously heard singles “Song Cry,” “Dreamer,” & “Been Around The World,” here goes another one of the heavily featured cuts we have yet to hear until today titled “Job” featuring Anthony Hamilton & Jadakiss. Check it out.
This Thing Called Life officially hits iTunes at midnight tonight.
Quotable Lyrics:
I know somebody tired of the system living
Waking every morning saying I got to get it
Focus on the paper can give you tunnel vision
Drug dealing stacking flipping just tryna to make a living
Baby shaking on the pole just to make tuition
Single mommas facing drama so they can feed they children
Niggas strung out on that dope just cause they had a taste
And niggas dropping out of school on the paper chase
