Since his classic debut Mississippi: The Album, David Banner has proven himself as an important political voice. His new record "Black Fist," sees him further exploring topics touched on is hus past work, as he rails against white supremacy alongside Tito Lopez. Banner's powerful words are greeted with a creeping instrumental from Street Symphony, 8x8 and D.O., which offsets the rappers' aggressive delivery with a dose of paranoia.
The track is set to appear on Banner's upcoming album The God Box, which we're officially very excited for. Still no word on when we can expect it, but we're hoping it arrives sooner than later.
Quotable Lyrics:
I'm staying religious
But we stay in the trenches
Got to play with they lynches
I came to my senses
I bet them crackers never came through my fences
You burn up your cross
And I burn up your corpse
And I'm turnin' back and do the same to the witness
Black Fist
