It's been quite a day for new music, with albums arriving from Curren$y, Jeremih, G-Eazy, Kid Cudi, and, last but not least, Ricky Ross. It seems that with Black Market, Ross is looking to make his case for Hall of Fame status, as most of the album's guests are esteemed veterans themselves. This is perhaps most clear on the track "Black Opium," as Rozay invites the legendary DJ Premier to mix and scratch up a beat from Black Metaphor and Incredibeatz.
"Black Opium" begins with a live recording of Rozay asking his fans for an emphatic "HUHN." Ross' signature grunt is then sampled and scratched by Premier, and the '90s feel sets in immediately. At age 40, it's fair to call Ross a veteran, but that's not to say he isn't in his prime right now.
"The scratches and the raw fuckin' element that Premier brings to the culture, it's so important that we keep his image and that image alive," Ross recently told Billboard.

Quotable Lyrics
A lot of goons, cocaine, bitches consumed
Still feel the 'vroom,' King of Diamonds, go get the broom
Dreamchasers, you fuck with Meek, you gotta fuck with Coon
