Another Black Market track has arrived on the night before the album's December 4 release. The latest song, "Peace Sign," produced by DJ Mustard, comes after Rozay dropped a mixtape of freestyles and remixes, Renzel Remixes, on Thanksgiving. Now all the focus is on Black Market, and "Peace Sign" should get fans excited for the imminent release.
Now you may remember another recent Mustard-produced track of the same name, and indeed, Rozay's song includes the same instrumental that was heard on Jeremih's "Peace Sign," which surfaced last month and featured Fabolous and Red Cafe. On his version of "Peace Sign," Jeremih sung the hook in unison with Red Cafe, and it sounds like the same Red Cafe vocals remain on the new Black Market track, while those of Jeremih have been removed. The album's tracklist doesn't list a collaborator next to "Peace Sign" (track #11).
Unfortunately, Jeremih's "Peace Sign" was taken down shortly after its release, though if you can find a leaked version, you'll hear that he recorded over the same beat and used the same hook. Both Jeremih and Rozay are signed to Def Jam.
Regardless, the newest "Peace Sign" stands as a nice Maybach slow jam, and it's a showcase of Mustard's versatility.
Quotable Lyrics
I'ma change the bitch' last name
Don't wanna hear stories about your last lame
We sippin' syrup in the fast lane
