Lais returned last month with "Sometimes," his first track since August's "Rather Have U," which was played by Drake on OVO Sound Radio. Today, the Toronto singer is back with a new single, "Moon & Stars 2." We've heard Lais exercise more rapper-like flows on past cuts, but here, he sings slowly and spontaneously, giving the track an intimate mood that never feels forced. He also brought along a rapper with a similarly flexible flow, Harlem's Skizzy Mars, who drops off a mellow verse.
The late-night track is another bright example of the genre-blurring sound coming out of Toronto right now. "Moon & Stars 2" will appear on Lais' upcoming EP, 114.
Quotable Lyrics
Baby lovin' you couldn't be any easier
You're my moon, you're my stars
Baby you're my sky, you're my high
I need you by my side
