Mike Dean, better known as the sonic genius who helped craft the sound of Kanye West and pretty much the entire Houston rap scene (Z-Ro, Scarface, Travis Scott, Devin the Dude, etc.), seems to relish his backseat driving/outside of the spotlight status in the rap scene. But in the past couple weeks he put out a pair of instrumentals "When I See It" and "Weed Dabs Weed Dabs," and now he drops another one called "White Black Jesus."
In addition to having a great title, the instrumental features many of Dean's sonic trademarks: subby, distorted bass, lots of guitar, and the hardest-hitting hi hats in the game.
Do you hear the Kanye influence?
