Afer gaining some traction on SoundCloud off the strength of his "Love Scars" record, Ohio's Trippie Redd has delivered a full length project called A Love Letter To You. The project features a few collaborators who will be familiar to anyone who's spent a few hours surfing SC, including Lil Tracy and DP Beats. On "Poles1469" he links with hyper-aggressive rapper Tekashi69 as well as buzzing producer Pi'erre Bourne (responsible for Playboi Carti's "Magnolia" and "Wokeuplikethis.").
Trippie himself is an extremely melodic vocalist, which has earned him Lil Uzi Vert comparisons. As a result, his sweet, stuttered delivery sounds perfectly at home on Pi'erre's dreamy soundscapes, and acts as a stark contrast to Tekashi's harsh delivery. When Trippie provides ad-libs for his collaborator in the second verse, it's a similar dynamic to a lot of post-hardcore and emo outfits with dueling vocalists, a comparison that has been coming up more frequently as rappers like Uzi and Lil Peep have begun to align themselves with the genre and rock at large.

Quotable Lyrics:
Yeah, and send shots off at your dome
Pussy boy, we'll pull up at your home
You're home alone, home alone, home alone
Hit your chromosome, bitch, chromosome
