Brodinski continues to prove himself as one of the most innovative producers in trap, all the way from Reims, France. Funnily enough, he hasn't been working with artists in the genre for very long. He made his name as a house and electronic producer, but he's slowly began experimenting with more urban, especially southern trap-inspired sounds, and within the past year, he's worked with Bricc Baby, Bloody Jay, Makonnen, and Young Scooter. He's now back with up-and-coming DMV trapper Shy Glizzy, thanks to adidas's "Songs from Scratch" collaboration series.
This is certainly a different look for Glizzy than, say, a Zaytoven beat, but the XXL Freshman is nothing if not adventurous with his sound. The beat slows to a near halt about halfway in before slowly turning into a menacing club banger. Glizzy manages to stay on top the whole time, each bar delivered confidently. Hopefully this isn't the last time we get to hear "Foreign Glizzy."
"Songs from Scratch" also brought Fetty Wap together with EDM producer Bauuer and Popcaan beatman Dubbel Dutch. Listen to "Promises" here.
