Before footage surfaces online of Chance The Rapper debuting his new song “Angels” on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" from Monday night, the Chicago artist decides to share the song ahead of time on iTunes & soundcloud as a FREE download.
Featuring Saba, the track is an uplifting, jazzy cut that finds Chance reppin' the Windy City, counting his blessings, and putting on for his day one homies in the process. No word yet as for where it’ll end up, but rumors have been circulating that a new mixtape from the Save Money artist is in the works. So keep your fingers crossed that more music is on the way.
For now though, give “Angels” a close listen and let us know what you think.
Quotable Lyrics:
I ain't change my number since the seventh grade
This for my day one, ten years, seven days
A week, nigga's never tired on they Kevin Gates
And if they rest in peace they bunny hopping heaven's gates
It's too many young angels on the southside
Got us scared to let our grandmommas outside
