Lil Herb recently dropped off an excellent mixtape, Ballin' Like I'm Kobe, which featured a couple of huge collabs with Lil Bibby, who has been teasing fans with the imminent release of Free Crack 3. Let's not forget about another highly promising purveyor of lyrical drill -- Lil Reese -- who is joined by Herb aka G Herbo on his new track, "All My Life." We haven't heard much of Reese since June's Supa Savage 2, but "All My Life" shows he's still one of the fiercest young guns in Chicago.
Whereas a Herb and Bibby collab might include a more carefully calculated composition, Reese thrives off all-out aggression. The sinister beat rings in the background, but Reese isn't afraid to make his snarly vocals the center of attention. BLIK featured detailed storytelling, but on "All My Life," Herb echoes Reese's savage gangsta raps.
Can anyone match the youth movement in Chicago right now?
Quotable Lyrics
Learned from my wrongs, made them all my rights
And I can't change, bitch, I been the same way all my life
I came from nothing, so I gotta hustle all my life
