Jeezy's Church In These Streets is still scheduled to drop next month, but first, he's hitting us with the Politically Correct EP. The project will be released tomorrow (October 10th), and will coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. Jeez played the title track from the project on Sway In The Morning, and the recording has now made its way online. It follows the political lean that the rapper's most recent tracks have taken on, challenging the horrible events of police brutality we've witnessed recently. Coupled with some big horn samples, it sounds pretty revolutionary.
No word on whether the EP will be a free release or will show up on iTunes, but either way look for it to drop on Saturday.
Quotable Lyrics:
I ain't trynna promote no violence
Until we fix this shit
Just know a nigga won't be silent
I'm watching niggas get smoked like hookahs
Don't smoke a blunt and watch the news
Because that shit damn sure to confuse you
They done killed another nigga
I said 'you sure motherfucker'?
I will postpone this tour
And start a war motherfucker
