Joe Budden releases "Immortal," off upcoming album, "All Love Lost."

Thus far, the cuts we've heard off Joe Budden's upcoming album, All Love Lost, have been deeply introspective and emotional. There was the tribute to Eminem, "Slaughtermouse," and then "Where Do We Go" and "Playing Our Part," which both dealt with painful past relationships. His latest release, "Immortal," confirms that All Love Lost will be a personal, oftentimes depressing album. And with Budden's inspired lyricism, there's nothing wrong with that.

The new track features singer Emanny on the hook. "Immortal" is meant to be the flip-side of a record called "Man Down," on which Budden sees death all around him and thus feels the weight of his own mortality. On "Immortal," he channels all the pain that he's seen and asks, as he's made it this far, how can anything possibly bring him down? The song also recounts the time when his brother was shot 9 times as well as Budden's past struggles with addiction.

All Love Lost is coming soon -- October 16.

Quotable Lyrics

The only regret that I have is ever being regretful
Them fuckin' pills tried to kill me, none of 'em was successful
I close my hands on my knees, send these words to the sky
Man, you can't kill nothin' that's ready to die
