Glass Animals are low-key the best. Maybe it's not even low-key, they had one of the best debut albums front-to-back, I could replay ZABA for infinite and it would never get old. They've collaborated with rappers in the past, namely a remix they did with Rome Fortune for "Hazey," and today they return with a dope Joey Bada$$ collaboration on deck. The record definitely has that Glass Animals vibe though, with the indie, otherworldly instrumental that makes you feel as though you're sinking deeper and deeper into a really soft couch. The group lets Joey do his thing before lead singer David Bayley comes in with his sticky vocals.
They wrote this about the song on Soundcloud, "So excited to share this new track with you all...got into the studio with our friend joey for this one and ended up working together over night 'til we had it nearly done. hope you enjoy, and big love to our bro joey badass. awesome."
If you aren't familiar with Glass Animals, "Gooey" is a good place to start. Everyone needs some peanutbutter vibes.
Quotable Lyrics
Come take a walk through my mental
Come talk, what interest you?
I tell you all the essentials
Just please don't be just mental
And don't expect, just continue
To accept what I give you
Trust is not detrimental
Just what you been exempt to
