DJ Absolut's #MixtapeMondays series has been a reliable source of new material from wily veterans of the rap game, and the newest installment is maybe the best #MixtapeMonday ever. Absolut delivers a brand new Mobb Deep song entitled "It's Mobb Deep," in which Prodigy and Havoc let the listener know they're still going hard 20 years after The Infamous.
The boom bap-style drums are so in the pocket that even the childish xylophone vamp adornment can't stop Prodigy and Havoc from doing their thing.
Prodigy recently announced a new album called The Hegelian Dialectic, and according to HipHopnMore, he's also in the process of recording new Mobb Deep album with Havoc, expected for release in early 2016.
