Thanks to PartyNextDoor, tonight's episode of OVO Sound Radio was almost -- yes, almost -- as lit as episode 6. The Sauga City killer dropped a staggering 7 new tracks during his set. We've got all 7 for y'all here, but out of the bunch, we'd like to take a minute to focus on "Codeine Bumpin'."
The track is dark and murky as the title would suggest. Most of the tracks Party played tonight were either romantic R&B tunes or the hybrid bangers that have become a Toronto signature. "Codeine Bumpin'" is more of the drug-inspired trap music that we expect to hear on Party's upcoming EP with TM88 of 808 Mafia. According to Twitter, the track is not produced by TM88, but by AHKILO and Daniel Worthy, who both produced on If You're Reading This It's Too Late.
It's not Party's attempt to ride that Future wave, either, as there's something more minimal and mysterious about his sound. It's something of a continuation of the sound of "Don't Worry" (featuring Ca$h Out), and that's definitely a good thing.
Who's bumpin' this?

Crack cocaine's still jumpin', got the city bumpin'
Got the city on geek, got the city on fleeeek
