Premiere: Listen to Chris Cartier's "Salute".

Chris Cartier just delivered a memorable performance at SOB's, a rite of passage for any rising rapper, New York-based or otherwise. Today he's decided to share the second single from his upcoming project, Black Suburbia. "Salute" is a heavy sub-bass-driven banger, as Cartier dances over the heavily filtered synths, fitting comfortably within the popular trends of rap today without sacrificing his voice in the process (there are more than a few quotable lines -- "I'm making moves like I'm driving a U-Haul").

If you like what you hear, make sure to check out Cartier's aggressive first single, "Min Wage," which has a similar shout-along chorus. Keep an eye out for Black Suburbia to drop sometime this fall.

Quotable Lyrics:
Counterfeit niggas don't get no respect
I hit the mall just to fuck up a check
I got love for my squad, I got love for my set
When it comes to this shit, boy, I do it the best
I'm making moves like I'm driving a U-Haul
I will not stop until I put the crew on
I'm 'bout my business, I should put a suit on
When that boy ride, it's like he can not do wrong
