When Game dropped the tracklist to Documentary 2 last week, one of the most surprising features listed was Diddy. Hip-hop's Cash King has released one single this year, "Finna Get Lose," and is featured on one other track, Meek Mill's "Cold Hearted." Well, here's "Standing On Ferraris," and like the Meek track, Diddy doesn't actually rap -- instead, he closes out the track with an extended rant, in which he details how Game gave him a red Ferrari on his birthday and named him an honorary Piru. Is this Diddy's way of paying him back?
In any case, it's another strong release from Game, who sounds totally confident in his veteran status over the bumping horns on this old-school production. It's looking like Documentary 2 will be an interesting blend of new and classic West Coast sounds. The Diddy feature signals he'll be careful to keep the East Coast on his side, though, let's wait and see what Game's got to say on "New York, New York," named, of course, after the 1995 Dogg Pound diss record of the same name.
Who's ready for Documentary 2?
Quotable Lyrics
Stay laced, spit nothing but base
Yeah, all my shit bump like Craig Mack' face
Ask your favorite bitch how my dick taste
Ask your neighbor's bitch how my dick taste
Don't take orders, I dictate
Get your shit straight, dickface
