After being introduced to Brooklyn spitter Jimi Tents by way of "Elmer Fudd," we've kept close tabs on the rapper. He's given us several more leaks since "Elmer Fudd," in addition to giving away a select amount of features. However, if there was ever a time to be introduced it'd be now, with his "official" first single, the piano-jingling "Landslides."
Keep in mind, dude is 19-years old. He's also bent on ushering in a new sound than what's expected from New York rappers-- if that wasn't already apparent on his "Fuck You Freestyle (Death To Boom Bap)," he's making it crystal clear today: "I really see it as my responsibility to represent and to introduce a better sound from my city -- I think people are really used to hearing one thing and I'm kind of not that."
His upcoming EP, 5 O'Clock Shadow, is due out on October 23rd.
