If you hadn't heard, Hurricane Chris is back with a brand new tape, and it's among his finest work. You're only memory of Chris might be 2007's "Ay Bay Bay," so this new track with Kevin Gates should signal that Chris is still a serious force in the Louisiana rap game. "To the Money," taken off Hurricane Season, comes equipped with fresh production from one of the South's finest, Drumma Boy.
Chris starts the track with a verse of murderous quickfire bars, reminiscent of Boosie Badazz. Gates then slows things down with one of his signature croaky hooks before finishing with a heavy-hitting verse. It sounds like he's got a bad cold, but that somehow only makes his gangsta talk even more authentic.

Quotable Lyrics
I spit 'em down, rockin' a frown
Bullet in my leg got me hoppin' around
In a wheelchair as a wobble around
Held up at the block, start lockin' it down
Now I run the town
