New York native Jimi Tents has been having a strong showing this summer, releasing "Problems" with Tunji Ige and Kembe X in July, the "Fuck You Freestyle (Death To Boom-Bap)" track a few weeks later, and most recently guesting on MNHATTN's track "Ninja Honda." Today, he returns with another solo cut called "Axis."
Kicking off with warm vintage keys, the track is soon fleshed out with a plodding, methodical beat and skittering hi-hats. All the while, Tents alternates between slower hooks accentuated by backing vocals and quicker verses that have him flexing his considerable lyrical skills.
Be on the lookout for Tents' debut project this Fall.
