Rapsody decides to revisit her latest Beauty And The Beast EP today and liberate a new remix for her standout cut “Don’t Need It” featuring Merna and now Joey Badass.
Leaving the chorus and Young Guru-production the same, the remix features a guest verse from Joey Badass, who showcases his usual slick wordplay and double entendres, referencing the likes of Kobe and Jordan. If you’re a fan of lyricism and bars, then you’ll definitely appreciate this remix.
Take a listen and let us know what you think!
Quotable Lyrics:
They don't wanna see you ball, they wanna see you fallin'
When they get too far they treat you like Kobe
As if he ain't scorin' but it's like he got a hex stat stuck up on him
So everybody in the stands won't applaud him, don't respect his glory
They fill us up with doubts like "he can't beat Jordan"
That's when he turned around and gave his best performance
He could've used his mouth but put his best feet forward
