New York streetwear label Supreme is fresh off of a hyped collaboration with The North Face, but they always seem to have something new up their sleeve. Their latest collection is one for the hip hop heads, as they’ve partnered up with Texas-based record label Rap-A-Lot Records for a small capsule.
Rap-A-Lot’s most famous releases came courtesy of southern legends the Geto Boys, whose lineup consisted of Scarface, Bushwick Bill, Willie D and DJ Ready Red. At one time, the brother of label founder J. Prince was also part of the group. Using the label’s logo and iconic album cover for We Can’t Be Stopped for creative inspiration, Supreme has create a capsule collection that includes satin jackets, sweatshirts, 5 panels, beanies, tee shirts and a pillow.
The Supreme x Rap-A-Lot Records collaboration drops this Thursday, April 6th online and in all of Supreme’s stores except Japan. It’s a dope way to celebrate a historic record label and album that included the classic track “My Mind Playin’ Tricks On Me,” which you can watch the video for below.
