Sometimes the best art comes from spontaneous situations, and that sounds like the circumstances that birthed Well$' latest solo cut, "608 AM In Cleveland." The track opens with him taking a sip of water, announcing the early hour at which he's recording, and saying that producer Tommy Coyote had just crafted this beat while they were in Cleveland together.
A spacey, bass-heavy track follows, with Well$ finding new ways to say old things ("treat my city like some shoulder pads," "mean mugs turn to fake smiles") while keeping a stream-of-consciousness style of delivery going.
The North Carolina native also shared a new collaboration with Hasta called "Naked Truth," which like "608 AM In Cleveland," is well worth your time.
Quotable Lyrics
Been a minute since I've broken ounce down
Been a minute since I asked for the price now
Been a minute since you had a minute
Your 15 seconds been timed out
