In an HNHH premiere, Boaz drops off "Moonlight" feat. Cook tha Monster & Hard Tymez. The track will appear on The Burghprint, a Pittsburgh crew compilation mixtape that showcases the diverse rap styles coming out of the city.
In "Moonlight," producer Jimmy Dukes sets the scene with a nighttime soundscape as Boaz and company rap about how certain things only happen after the sun goes down. Here is Boaz's artist statement:
"The song is a direct correlation of cause and effect, Love and betrayal, Cold blooded murder and self defense.. It shows you the events that can take place throughout the course of a day in the mind of a street person who is opposed with these obstacles. It's funny how just being a witness to these things can sometimes make you responsible for the avenge of a person. Reasoning just isn't apart of the culture. So there are just certain reactions that are expected once that line has been crossed. So you have to keep your boots laced and be prepared for whatever can go down. Expecting the unexpected. It always feels like it something wrong..... When the situation too right!!"
The Burghprint is due out September 25.
