Is it only a matter of time before SAFE officially becomes OVO? Roy Wood$, the Toronto up & comer who just released his debut EP Exis, has already locked down an OVO Sound deal (at least according to his iTunes). He is one of many Toronto artists that Drake has given his co-sign too, and given how tight of a grasp he has on his city, we're wondering just how many of these Torontonians will also land a deal. It should be noted that SAFE has released more music in the past three weeks than he has in the four months prior-- the OVO push seemed to incite this move.
After hearing his collaboration with Ramriddlz (behind the Drake-remixed "Sweeterman") last week, SAFE returns with another collaboration, laced with auto-tune. SAFE turns up the energy on this one, with producer axxxxgxxx creating a strip club-appropriate beat; it's hazy r'n'b yet still turnt.
Quotable Lyrics
And we do not talk to no cops
Free all my brothers that's locked
For dem man I go bust some shots
For dem man I go bust some shots
Niggas don't know who we are
Man these niggas don't know who we be
