Chris Cartier is a young rapper from The Bronx, and today he's making his HNHH debut with the track "Min Wage."
Accompanied by unique artwork that features a dollar folded up, origami style, into a collared shirt, Cartier's track follows suit in its critique of low paying jobs. After introducing this in a pretty base level way (starting a chant of "Fuck minimum wage"), he gets more into the nitty gritty of it, relating tales of his rough reality in a very relatable, charismatic way.
The song's video also just dropped, and you can watch that below. Let us know what you think.
Quotable Lyrics
Momma work too late to come and fix me a plate
And my dad ain't been home since 2008
Me and destiny got a date, it ain't hard to relate
To the struggle, we all run a similar race
