Along with creepy, Halloween-esque artwork, James Fauntleroy has released a (haunting) new record, "Who Are You." The record has an '80s-meets-blues vibe, with the production recalling bits of both styles while James vocals are light and airy, almost an afterthought. Similar to last week's "Mid-Air," which clocked in at just over one minute, "Who Are You" runs just two minutes long. It seems to end just as its beginning, perhaps not fully realized, or else it seems like an intro that should lead us into something bigger.
The record also comes with an unwanted warning: summer is nearing completion. "Summers almost over, and so is this playlist lol..." the singer wrote on the song's description.
Fauntleroy also dropped off "Sex High (Ashes On The Moon)" last week.
Quotable Lyrics
You could say I took it too far
But I'm the one with a broken heart
You can't be who you say you are
