Broderick Batts is yet another exciting voice out of Florida, repping Tampa, but making music that's a far cry from the Raider Klan and its many affiliates, instead opting for clean, R&B-tinged rap. Unlike the many melodic experiments happening with rapper's nationwide, Broderick is 100% in the R&B lane when he sings, switching back and forth between crooning and rapping rather than treading the line.
When he does rap, he has a springy Chance-like delivery, creating a perfect contrast to his uber-smooth hooks. We'll definitely be watching his next steps closely. What do you think so far?
Quotable Lyrics:
Love is that word that's used way too often
It's lost its true meaning
We've all had that split second
Where we question
'Is this the person that I'll always be with?'
