OMI's Cheerleader found it's way to the Billboard top ten pretty unconventionally. Originally released in 2012, the Reggae-tinged song got a second wind this year with the release of Felix Jaehn's remix. Now the track has found yet another remix, pushing it further into the realm of rap. Getting a rework from Salaam Remi, and some new verses from West Coast rapper Kid Ink, this should be yet another boost for the already-gigantic single.
Kid Ink sticks somewhere between singing and rapping, never tracing OMI's melodies the way many featured artists will. Look out for this to be in regular radio rotation alongside the original version.
Quotable Lyrics:
I need her
Right here where she need to be
Compliment my style
You flying with the captain of the team
