As Chance The Rapper continues into left field with SURF, the rest of his SAVEMONEY crew have been carving out their own lanes. We've seen Vic Mensa team with Kanye West, graduating from his weird band beginnings into possible stardom, the complete opposite tangent we've seen with Chance. Meanwhile, Brian Fresco is experimenting with harder street sounds, picking up a punishing Atlanta-leaning instrumental, complete with the infamous "Kill Bill" siren for "Bussin".
The record was released to celebrate Fresco's 22nd birthday, which reminds us the rapper is just getting started. This is certainly a promising new direction for him, though as a loosie, it may just be a one-time experiment. Either way, we'll be on the lookout for new material later this year.
Quotable Lyrics:
Smokin' blunts with my mailman
So I never miss my mail, man
Made a couple grand, spent a couple grand
Got a baby mama, live in fuckin' France
