Raury has quickly cemented himself as one to watch, following his debut project Indigo Child, he's been named an XXL Freshmen and received accolades from all across the map. He bends r'n'b, folk and rap (and more!) into one, as is evident on his latest release "Devil's Whisper." For those who've been following Raury's rise, you'll recall "God's Whisper" appeared on Indigo's Child, so here we get the flip side. It's a follow up in sound as well, with the production recalling the drums we first heard on "God's Whisper," and once again, a chorus-like hook.
If you need a quick lesson on the singer (and sometimes rapper, he does spit a verse on this track), run down his essential tracks here.
Quotable Lyrics
We at war with ourselves, type of war with no guns
So if you had to meet yourself would you go do it or run
Cause I could be MLK, I could be Juicy J
Or a lame on Instagram who shows the world his AK
47s the way, you can follow or stray
At the end of the day, at the end of the day
You better run in some time of direction
