It's been a while since we've heard new material from Washington DC's Goldlink (he dropped "Vroom" in February), but as is en vogue for artists selected as XXL Freshmen, he quickly follows up his appearance on the cover with new music. This one's called "Dance On Me," and it was produced by Milo Mills and co-produced by Hasta.
If you're familiar with The God Complex, you might be surprised how slowly this one begins, but soon enough, we're back into the breakbeats-and-fast-rapping territory that we know and love. On this one, he raps and sings about a special woman, and comes off sounding great as ever.
Quotable Lyrics
And I hit my lil' nigga so I get it for the low
And my youngest lil nigga gettin' backed up in the hole
Better getting money than being an asshole
Think these silly motherfuckers ain't gon' pay me for my dough?
