North London native Little Simz possesses an insane lyrical gift for someone of her age (19), and if you're not familiar with her, her new AGE 101: DROP 4 EP is all you need to get acquainted. The closing track on the project, "Mist," features production from DJ Dahi and musical mastermind Frank Dukes and a hook from Simz's frequent collaborator Tilla.
With an atmosphere that's perfectly described by its title, "Mist" rolls along with humid intoxication, its tribal-styled percussion and ambient synth work giving it a unique vibe. Tilla holds it down with a smooth hook, and Simz manages to stay low-key while also dazzling with quick-witted lyricism.
