One look at the title of Johnny May Cash's new record suggests it might be yet another freestyle over Kanye West's drill-inspired single of the same name. While it would be cool to hear Cash and Herbo go in over the pummeling industrial instrumental, we'd much rather hear them over an original Young Chop beat, which is what we get here.
Johnny-- Chop's brother --has always given the producer a little more creative freedom. While there are still rapper's asking the beatmaker for that 2012 Keef sound, he always laces his bro with production that's a little glossier, but of course with Chop-- it always knocks. The shape-shifting dynamics also give Herb a welcome challenge to play with his always impressive flow.
Quotable Lyrics:
Chop say he gotta hear
Me and Johnny May Cash on it
Me and Johnny May spazzed on it, bitch
And we stay turnt up
And if you run up on us get your face burnt up
