Chicago duo Sicko Mobb impressed us with their innovative sound on their Super Saiyan mixtapes, and their latest tape, Mulah, finds them more confident than ever. The opening track, "This Is How We Rock," is the type of banger you won't hear from anyone else.
The production is a collaboration between ghettotech/footwork producer Sinjin Hawke, producer of Kanye's "Wolves," and Drippin, a Norwegian beatmaker whose punishing drumwork can be heard throughout the track. Hawke takes a sample similar to what we heard on "Wolves," and uses it as the catalyst for a series of massive crescendos.
Sicko Mobb's timing is so spot on that their energetic vocals become the driving piece in this seamless, albeit brain-frying, composition.
This one's definitely sticking with us for awhile. Y'all fuck with Sicko Mobb?
