When it comes to titling his work, Alex Wiley doesn't stick to conventions. He named his last EP one singular flame emoji, but for his newest leak, he went for something a little less conspicuous: "Track One."
Though no word if "Track One" will be the opener to an upcoming Alex Wiley record, it's definitely worth adding to your collection. Wiley's never been one for genre boundaries, but "Track One" finds him outside the hip-hop realm altogether, sounding more akin to moody '90s grunge. His adds some vocals in between the guitars, barely audible underneath layers of distortion.
It's not your typical fix of underground hip-hop, but it's what you should expect from Alex Wiley if you've been keeping up with the young Chicago artist.
