Former NBA star Steve Francis has turned himself in to police on a burglary charge stemming from an incident that took place over the Summer.

Francis reportedly broke into a BMW outside of a restaurant in Florida and stole $7,000 worth of valuables including a wallet, gold wedding ring, gold diamond band and earrings and had originally turned himself in to police two days after the burglary went down, but left without being charged despite his admission.

Authorities later issued a warrant for his arrest on 3rd degree felony charges after he was booked for a DWI in Houston, which is why he turned himself in early Monday morning.

He is being held on $1,500 bond, the 3rd degree felony charge could result in five years in prison.
